Looking for a scenic Moab side-by-side adventure? Hurrah Pass is hard to beat.

The trail travels through beautiful red-rock country toward Hurrah Pass, with incredible views of the Colorado River, surrounding canyons and Moab’s iconic desert landscape.

Unlike some of Moab’s more technical trails, Hurrah Pass is about the journey, the scenery and getting out into the backcountry.

Key Trail Information

  • Location: Kane Creek Road, southwest of Moab

  • Length: ~19 miles round trip from the end of paved Kane Creek Road; ~29–33 miles if starting from Moab

  • Difficulty: 2–3/10 — Easy

  • Terrain: Graded dirt • gravel • rocky sections • switchbacks

  • Time: ~2–3 hours from the end of pavement

  • Direction: Out-and-back

  • Fees: No separate trail fee

  • Best For: Beginners, families, scenic drives, and less-experienced off-road drivers

  • Highlights: Hurrah Pass overlook, Kane Springs Canyon, Colorado River views, red-rock scenery

    It offers the Moab scenery you came to see while giving you plenty of fun terrain to explore without the steep technical obstacles found on some of Moab’s more difficult trails.

  • Hurrah Pass is one of our most popular recommended trails, but its not the only places you can ride.
